Hi Todd, I often have the same questions you do about my own blog.

If you will, let me challenge you to answer your own question #1: what should we as readers expect from your blog? I sort of think you get to them in "Why I Have a Blog", but distill it all into one statement.

As for why I come back, it's the personal relationship. I enjoy reading what's on your mind and your "What if" questions.

And if you're looking for an actual post rating add-in, I think the one I had when I was at blogger might be able to transfer over to TypePad.

Chris,

Great job on the challenge. I need to put some thought into it and you did reference my own post, which I really appreciate! I go through different thoughts about my blog sometimes. There are times I feel like I'm writing exactly what I want to write and there are times I feel like I'm writing for the readers (what ever that means...).

It's a growth process for me and at the end of the day, I really, really enjoy doing this. Just looking for some feedback and yours was great!!!!

Hello Todd,

They are all questions bloggers are asking to themselves. The problem is that it’s hard to answer to them. Personally I can be interested in any posts you publish. I’m not a business manager; I study and I work in the IT. Eventually business management tricks will be helpful; no doubts about it. But I’m not reading your lbog specifically for this. The first thing why I read your blog is because You are writing it. I appreciate what you write, how you write it, how you converse with your readers, your ideas, etc. I’m reading you for you, not essentially for what you are writing about. It can seem a paradox, but it’s the only way I can answer to such a question ;)

Keep going Todd!

Salutations,

Fred

Hi Todd - you know how I arrived here, and the confusion in the beginning :) I like the blog, your style and the openness.

I read your blog, because of the personal relationships that you are able to form with your readers. You comment on their comments, and you reply emails. Not a habit that is followed very often. But most, I like the content of your blog.

Many a people are saying you should write what you want and the followership will develop. I am not sure if this is true. We are all addicted to the stats, at least sometimes, and try to figure out how to "pamper" the readers or get more. So yeah, keep going, stay in the mixture of personal and business, and enhance our own scope of thinking.
