The Race for "Ear Time" is on

There's a tipping point for radio that I believe has been met, but this is just the beginning of a new media that American radio will take part in.

Some recent US examples:

• Infinity's "all podcast" radio station, KYOU
• Nationally syndicated Bob and Tom Show is now podcasting
• Susquehanna's 570 KLIF is podcasting
• All the press/hype about Clear Channel podcasting
• Westwood One's Love Line is podcasting
• Chicago's WCKG Steve Dahl's podcast (update)
  • (UPDATE 5/8/05) oops...Dahl's been shut down [read]
• Cleveland's 92.3 Xtreme Metal Show podcast (update)

I am very interested in the revenue model(s) and successes.  Radio has an amazing opportunity to not only generate money, gain additional listeners that could get the magic book in the mail and more importantly, connect with an ever growing audience that wants content on their schedule, not someone else's.
