Tara and I are off to Playa del Carmen in Mexico. A much needed vacation. No kiddos, just our friends Matt and Beth, a beach, an ocean and time...

Another step: Podcasting to become mainstream

Apple's iTunes, version 4.9 is now available.

This is the one that incorporates podcasting and that Steve Jobs and Adam Curry have been hyping as the next version of "radio".

Wind Energy

On my West Texas drive to Lubbock for the triathlon this last weekend, I saw at least 3 areas that had hundreds of windmills.

No, not the ones you would see pumping water in an old Western movie or TV show. Big, sleek, tall, windmills that looked more like art than anything else.

They simply were amazing to look at from the highway. Obviously, others felt the same way as I did and did some research.

What if...? #25

I'm in a creative type of mood. Thinking about how things work, creating, improving processes, etc. So...

What if you could of invented one thing or process?

Light bulb? Telescope? Calendar? Doesn't have to be that "large" to make an impact..

I recently befriended a guy that invented a process to quickly replace gaskets for restaurant's refrigerators. When a restaurant's refrigerators go out...well, it isn't pretty. He saw an opportunity to provide a service to these restaurants to quickly solve this problem and his business is booming.

So many opportunities with the smallest of ideas...

Off to Buffalo Springs Ironman 70.3

Heading out this afternoon for one of the big races of the season, Buffalo Springs Lake Triathlon in Lubbock, TX.

This is a Ironman 70.3 distance race: 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13.1 mile run, ie. half marathon = 70.3 total miles.

BSLT is a qualifying race for the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii. It is a part of the brand new 70.3 qualifying race structure of the World Triathlon Corporation.

My first Half Ironman was last year at Texas Man with a time of 6 hours 10 minutes.

We will get to see my mom, Grandmother and Tara's parents on this trip as well, which makes for a good time with the kids. I won't have much opportunity on-line, so don't expect much from me until Monday!
