On my West Texas drive to Lubbock for the triathlon this last weekend, I saw at least 3 areas that had hundreds of windmills.
No, not the ones you would see pumping water in an old Western movie or TV show. Big, sleek, tall, windmills that looked more like art than anything else.
They simply were amazing to look at from the highway. Obviously, others felt the same way as I did and did some research.

Many people don't share your enthusiasm. A starting point for learning more about the shortcomings of utility-scale wind turbines is www.aweo.org.

Ma,
I appreciate the info. I am still just in awe at the size and visual aspects of driving and seeing these in action.

I love looking at those spinnin' props along the highway. Though I wonder if they cause some rubbernecker accidents now and then.
While I love the concept behind wind power, in Oklahoma, it costs more to use Wind Power Electricity.
Now, that just doesn't make sense!
