MS150 Update and Photos!

What an amazing experience!  Over 2,000 riders of all ages headed out from Frisco, TX to Ardmore, OK last Saturday for the 2005 MS150 (5/14/05).  It is difficult to explain how awesome it feels to be around so many that are dedicated to raising money for a great cause.

Thank you so much to those that sponsored me for the ride!  I have raised $3,202 towards my goal of $3,500 and have until June 17th to finalize the donations.  If you would like to donate on-line, please do so here.

MS150: Time to ride!

I don't think I could say it any better than Matt did this morning on his blog.

We leave at 7am tomorrow morning for the MS150.

MS150: New Goal! 5/1/05

Thank you to everyone that has donated to my MS150 ride this May 14th and 15th.

Goal #1:  $400 - achieved!
Goal #2:  $1,000 - achieved!
Goal #3:  $1,500 - achieved!
Goal #4:  $2,000 - achieved!
Goal #5:  $2,500 - achieved!
Goal #6:  $3,500

Current donations:  $3,057

The outpouring of generosity has been overwhelming and I don't plan to stop until the deadline in June!  I have had donations from $2 (my kids) to $400 (a law firm's monthly charity-of-choice donation).  Currently, the average donation is $62.

MS150 Goal Update

Will you help me fight Multiple Sclerosis?

I need your help!  I am going to be riding in the MS150, a 150 mile bike ride from Dallas to Oklahoma on May 14th and 15th.  The ride is to raise money to fight Multiple Sclerosis (MS), a progressively disabling and devastating disease that strikes so many during the prime of their lives.  I am riding to make a positive difference in the lives of those suffering with MS, especially for Virginia Schmidt and her family, a friend from our church recently facing life with this disease.

So many of us know exactly of the disabling disease from the challenges that have faced Virginia and her family.  Others of you may have friends or loved ones that have faced MS as well.

Significant progress has been made in research, and researchers are optimistic that with continued financial support, a cure is possible in the near future.  your contribution brings ope to those who suffer with this devastating disease.

With this in mind, I ask you to sponsor me in this 150 mile bike ride.  I certainly respect that you have many requests for charity and understand should you choose not to participate.  If you choose to donate, I would greatly appreciate any donation you can make - it all adds up!
