Mitch Thrower at Triathlete Magazine gave me this idea in his Starting Lines section of the February edition. Thank you!
In no particular order and definitely not complete, here is my list:
- standing with ~10,000 others before the start at my first marathon at the American Airlines Center
- meeting Matt Glover @ 430am for training runs
- completing a 21 mile long run on a Friday before 7am
- the rain that began on mile 18 of a 20 mile long run
- putting together a training plan with Matt Sunshine
- designing the Suntorch logo (thank you Randal!)
- putting together the Suntorch mock triathlon
- buying a Nissan Xterra to haul my bike and gear
- crossing the finish line on my own @ the 2003 White Rock Marathon
- crossing the finish line with Matt Sunshine and Todd Luther, hands in the air @ the 2004 White Rock Marathon
- talking to Dave Scott at the 2004 Texas Man Half Ironman
- Friday morning, sunrise, training lake swims at Lake Grapevine
- cracking up while training for hours with Matt, Todd and Curt Leonard (we need more Cowbell!)
- trips for anything at Richardson Bike Mart
- entering exercise info into my Trilog (thank you CAT club!)
- buying new shoes because I have 400+ miles on my old ones
- reviewing my triathlon race results on-line
- seeing that I finished faster than other Dallas Athletes' that I respect
- being known for training "before the sun rises"
- buying new socks
- seeing Tara and my kids on the race course with "Go Daddy" signs
- seeing Taylor and Ryan finish 2 kids triathlons
- packet pick up for any race
- seeing people's face when you answer the question, 'What are the distances of a Half Ironman?'
