Ride for the Roses!

Headed next weekend to Austin for the Ride for the Roses weekend.  I'm planning on riding the 100 mile ride on Sunday.  The event is a celebration fundraiser for the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

I'm totally stoked about the Media Passes I have due to the work over at my business blog, Business Thoughts (related post here).

I decided to do the Ride for the Roses instead of the Conroe Half Ironman because of Lance's 7th TdF win this year.  I believe there are over 6,500 riders scheduled to hit the roads of Austin and there are events beginning on Friday.

Ironman World Championship Has Begun!

Ironman Kona has begun!  Pros began at 1145a CST and age groupers begin at 12n.

One of my training partners and good friends, Curt Leonard (#791) begins his Ironman dream.  He got a lottery slot for his first Ironman distance race!
